Exciting times at Sterling Ranch

Sterling Ranch is a Colorado town in the making. Much is already here yet so much more is on the way. Like epic parks that bring recreation right to your door. A world-class sports campus. A walkable village center. New on-site schools and a new library. And, of course, more Colorado-inspired home choices in our new Parkvale village. Sterling Ranch’s exciting next phase has begun and you’re just in time to see it come to life.

A regional sports destination

Zebulon Regional Sports Complex, a state-of-the-art facility being developed by Douglas County, combines sports and recreation, a future lifestyle center and open space preservation. The result is a new destination for residents and the region. Plans call for championship-caliber indoor and outdoor athletic facilities, inviting year-round recreational, league and tournament play. Future shopping, dining, lodging and entertainment will complement the sports complex. Meanwhile, 185-acres of natural open space is being preserved as wildlife habitat, supporting elk migration and local ecosystems. And all of this is right next door to Sterling Ranch.

The vision
  • Zebulon Sports will have baseball, football and soccer fields
  • The plan includes indoor ice rinks, basketball, volleyball and pickleball courts
  • Multi-purpose turf fields will host football, baseball and soccer games
  • A wildlife corridor ensures the sports district plays fair with nature
  • Future phases add dining, shopping, lodging and entertainment to the mix

Schools & library

Sterling Ranch brings learning closer to home with two new on-site schools and a new public library. Now open in Ascent village, John Adams Academy is a K–8 public charter school offering a classical education that will add one grade each year as it grows to serve K–12 students. A new Douglas County School District Pre-K–5 is opening for the 2027–2028 school year in Providence village. The beautifully designed Sterling Ranch Community Library, a resource for books, digital access, study spaces, and a hub for lifelong learning is coming to Providence village in 2027.
